Current River Missouri - My Favorite Place
Figure 1: Panorama of The Current River from Wikimedia
The current river is a tributary river flowing in the Mississippi that forms in the southeastern Ozarks of Missouri. It is my favorite camping spot. Canoeing down it with my boy scout troop is one of my favorite memories, as it was one of the most relaxing experiences that I've ever had. Alternatively, kayaking against friends provided adequate excitement when I had my fill of relaxation. I highly recommend that everyone visit, as it is an accessible and relaxing camping experience.
What a beautiful picture, Jenon! There are so many lovely places you can find in the Ozarks, sometimes hidden away, not famous at all, but very beautiful! And RIVERS: as you can imagine, rivers are an incredibly important part of the geography of India. And the river Ganga is a river AND a goddess. And she will be a character in the Mahabharata, one of the epics we will be reading. So keep an eye out for rivers in the reading; you will find them! Wikipedia: Ganga.
ReplyDeleteJenon,
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome picture! I wish I experienced more adventures in the outdoors because it looks so much fun. I have a fear of drowning so I don't know about kayaking, but you did make it seem awfully fun! Have you gotten to do any nature adventures here in Oklahoma? I have been wanting to hike the Wichita Mountains, but I have a feeling it is nothing compared to that river.
